Our veterinary hospital uses precise diagnostic equipment for preventative care and early detection of illness and disease.
Radiographs, also known as X-rays, direct electromagnetic rays through the tissues of the body to show tissues, objects and materials within the body.
Radiographs can detect a number of abnormalities, including bone fractures; tumors; changes in the lungs, such as infection; an enlarged heart; foreign objects within the stomach or intestines and soft tissue damage. Radiography is an extremely useful diagnostic tool in veterinary medicine because it can detect a large number of abnormalities and is completely noninvasive.
There are other imaging options available in veterinary medicine. Ultrasounds, MRIs and CT scans can be used alone or in conjunction with radiographs to diagnose many medical conditions affecting pets.
Timpanogos Animal Hospital is pleased to offer these imaging services:
- Computed tomography (CT)*
- Magnetic resonance images (MRI)*
Contact Timpanogos Animal Hospital for more information on imaging services at our Pleasant Grove veterinary hospital.
*CT scans and MRIs are available offsite for clients of Timpanogos Animal Hospital
